Dark chocolate fruit has always been a favorite of many. Why do we like it? Perhaps it's the combination of bitter and sweet. There are all kinds of dark chocolate covered fruit products out there, from the familiar to the exotic. Check these out.
Apples -- There are so many interesting ways to enjoy dark chocolate apples! By far the easiest to find is the whole apple covered in dark chocolate. Dark chocolate covered wedges can be found with a little effort, and dark chocolate bars with apple are few and far between.
Cherries -- There are basically three ways to enjoy chocolate covered cherries: individual cherries covered with dark chocolate, dark chocolate over cherries and some kind of liquid, and dark chocolate bars containing cherry.
Oranges -- Dark chocolate oranges are one of the most popular dark chocolate and fruit combinations. There's just something special about the citrus and chocolate combination. See some of the variety here.
Raisins -- Dark chocolate covered raisins are a favorite that can be found from many well known, as well as many lesser known producers. Cover more than one raisin and you have a dark chocolate raisin cluster. And it's always fun to find interesting dark chocolate bars containing raisins, and sometimes more.
Strawberries -- Most places offer the strawberries dipped in the dark chocolate, but you can also find them completely enrobed. And there are some great bars that feature strawberries. Have a look.

Raspberries -- A reader recently asked me how she could get dark chocolate raspberries in Australia. I hadn't looked into dark chocolate with raspberry before that note, so I spent a few days digging around, and came up with the list here.
I've seen many other kinds of fruit in dark chocolate as well, such as: apricot, blueberry, coconut, currants, fig, kiwifruit, lemon, passion fruit, peach, and prunes. I'll get around to writing about these eventually. And I'm sure to find even more!
