Dark chocolate nuts are one of the most popular taste combinations out there.  You can find dark chocolate with nuts in three basic forms:  individually covered nuts, dark chocolate nut bark or clusters, and dark chocolate bars containing nuts.  Sometimes these combinations also contain fruit or other ingredients.  So many choices!  Below is a short list of some of the nuts you can find with dark chocolate.

And did you know that dark chocolate and nuts can help you lose weight?  Sure, nuts are high in calories and fat, as is dark chocolate, so you can't overdo it.  But studies have shown that people eating diets containing nuts lost more weight than those eating the same calories containing no nuts, and lost more around the waist as well.  It turns out that nuts increase metabolic rates and enhance the feeling of being full.  High flavanoid dark chocolate, in moderation, can also reduce appetite and promote weight loss.  Plus, dark chocolate and nuts just taste great together.  What an excellent combination!

Almonds

Almonds -- Like many dark chocolate covered nuts, almonds can be found as individually covered nuts, almonds in a dark chocolate bark or cluster, and in dark chocolate bars, squares, or pieces.  I've also found a couple of unique "extras".  Here's a sampling.

Pecan brownie

Pecans -- Dark chocolate pecans are wonderful in so many configurations:  in fudge and brownies, clusters and bark, and in bars.  I enjoy all kinds of nuts.  And, perhaps because I grew up with family all over the American South, pecans have always been my favorite (just ahead of almonds).  And they are so good with dark chocolate!

Macadamia nuts

Macadamia Nuts -- Dark chocolate macadamia nuts are a real favorite, either individually covered, in clusters or bark, or even in a few bars.  Native to Australia, macadamia nuts are now also produced in in may more locations throughout the world.  When eaten in moderation in combination with dark chocolate, they can be very beneficial to your health.
