Of course, dark chocolate is wonderful all by itself, but dark chocolate with nuts, fruit, and all kinds of other ingredients is also really great.
These two other pages cover dark chocolate possibilities with nuts, and with fruit. On this page you'll find some other popular additional ingredients.

Mint -- Dark chocolate mint is one of my all-time favorites, and is to me the culmination of man's historical fascination with mint. Dark chocolate bars, squares with mint filling or mint infused with the chocolate are produced by many different manufacturers.

Caramel -- Dark chocolate caramel is an extremely popular taste combination, and the number and variety of products reflects this popularity. Caramel, which started as a unique and different way to prepare sugar treats, was combined with dark chocolate in the mid-1800s, and the rest really is history.

Coffee -- The dark chocolate coffee combination has always been popular. Dark chocolate and coffee share similar histories, and have always gone well together, in drink or in solid form.

Peanut Butter -- Both the peanut and the cacao tree originated in South America, maybe the combination was inevitable. But, it wasn't until the early 20th century that chocolate and peanut butter were combined. Now there are many different ways to enjoy the unique mix of dark chocolate and peanut butter.
